Depop

The Brief: Depop is a social media-style marketplace where users can buy and sell secondhand clothing, accessories, and more. The Brief was through the D&AD Young Bloods Competition and was to create a campaign that doesn’t use traditional methods like social media or TV ads. The target audience was teenagers so I knew I wanted to use some cool character design and have them wearing different clothes.

After testing these characters I liked their vibe but I thought they were a little too abstract. I think I wanted to focus more on the second hand clothing aspect of the brand and include a message on the design.

The campaign is a collection of stickers that would be distributed around cities and given to top sellers to place within packaging to encourage conversation around town about Depop.
